The Minstrel's Ghost (Blake Carpenter) has teamed up with Zoltan Csörsz Jr. on drums  (The Flower Kings, Karmakanic, The Zoltan Csörsz Trio), Troy James Martin on bass  (LeeAnne Savage, The Tangelos, supporting country-metal outlaw Loren Dircks), Marco Chiappini on keyboard  (Gandalf’s Project, Oceans5, The Colin Tench Project), and Richard Baysinger on Lead guitar  (Fateless Tears, Demise of Gideon, Viggenblot) for a new release coming this fall. The album  "The Road To Avalon" is a new take on the old Arthurian classics. It will be release in digital download and CD formats with the later being produced the way it should be heard. It consists of two parts (broken into 12 for digital) Side A as it were is the lead up to Arthur's kingship and B is the road to his death. The Minstrel’s Ghost Embarks On A Journey On The Road to Avalon

Melodic Revolution Records is pleased to announce the signing of The Minstrel’s Ghost for their upcoming release “The Road to Avalon”

In 2011 Blake Carpenter assembled some very talented musicians from around the globe to create “The Road to Avalon” a concept album of the stories about King Arthur and his Knights.
The Road to Avalon is the follow up to The Minstrel’s Ghost 2011 debut “Dream Things True.”

About The Minstrel’s Ghost:
Originally from Rhode Island, The Minstrel’s Ghost was founded by Blake Carpenter, A well-rounded singer/songwriter/musician with a multitude of influences ranging from classical to metal and spanning all genres in between. His favorite styles of music are those that showcase passion and emotion, drive and talent. Blake’s writing in style ranges from folk, classic prog, hard rock and even metal. The Minstrel’s Ghost will take you on a journey beyond imagination.

Blake Carpenter: It has been eight years in the making but I am finally getting it done. These guys I am working with are all phenomenal musicians and I couldn’t be happier with the way thing are progressing. I am extremely excited about this project and the music that is being created. Joining the Melodic Revolution Records family is a real pleasure and I look forward to our work together as a team.

There we will feature the album in it's entirety the way it is meant to be heard. Each part is roughly 30 minutes so grab your coffee, tea, whiskey, beer or wine and sit back and enjoy the music.

The Road To Avalon recording is complete....We are shooting for a December release. This is going to be a big 6 panel digi pack with a 16 page booklet featuring art, lyrics a small story and more.

Artwork is almost complete...Ed Unitsky is a genius. Here is a sample of the cover.

I can recommend this album, I guess it's probably closest to neo-prog so should appeal to fans of that genre. I'm waiting for my copy of the CD and will post a review ASAP.
