Well, many folks deck them out in psychedelic colours (well they used to.....) so it may be your choice of 'touring wheels' - perhaps with Rush blaring out the windows.....LOL

I just saw someone make a post on facebook about how they're going fishing:

"I guess I'll hit up Greg lake for some bass! See ya later!"

I totally misread that.

^ I hate those *damn* things with a passion - just spent the week in the West Country - 6 hours on the A303 stuck behind a succession of VW camper vans driven by weekend-wannabee hippies crawling along at 40 mph belching clouds of black smoke into the atmosphere so you can barely read their "save the planet", "green peace" and "powered by fairy dust" stickers on the back doors.
What?

I'm not a hippy and I'd pull over to let traffic pass and I hate stickers.

On and episode of the Gilmore Girls, a character calls himself a "Closet prog fan" and says he listens to Gentle Giant, Van der Graaf Generator, and Triumvirat

don't have the episode or character name, sorry

Hmmm...  I've seen every episode of Gilmore Girls, and I would think that would be something I'd remember.

I will state as fact that Sebastian Bach of the band Skid Row played a recurring character on the show.
No, I'm not saying he's prog related!  Smile

Season 4 episode 11 Daniel says "I hid the fact for years but there's no denying it-I love progressive rock ! Long live Gentle Giant, Van Der Graaf and Triumvirat".

Two that I can remember:

In an episode of "The Young Ones", Neil yells at the TV (or radio?) to "play something good like Hawkwind or Marillion".

In an episode of "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" (http://www.episodeguide.us/harvey-birdman-attorney-at-law/free-magilla/episode/480924/summary.html), Harvey plays Tubular Bells on wine glasses.
