More fairly obscure titles. Again if you just know one vote anyway as long as you consider it one you'd recommend.
The Oregon album was their first with the ECM label and the first time they'd use synths. The National Health and New Trolls picks are live albums. The former features the longest serving lineup of that group in Miller, Pyle, Gowen and Greaves. This lineup never released a studio album though under this name.
My top three are National Health, New Trolls and One Shot but i'll pick later. |

Most of those groups i know by name only-i picked the Rypdal/Vitous/DeJohnette disc which i have and love very much
I have heard a New Trolls record ages ago, i think it was called Searching For A New Land, and was from around 71 and was a two lp set, one studio one live if memory serves me correctly-remember it to be a great record! I read that the drummer of Latte e Miele joined New Trolls at one point. ![]() |

Good list. (aka a list of more than 1 that I know.
Can't pick against <185>...love that one too much. Though Playtime is lovely as well.

Going with Maneige's Canterbury outing on this one. I have been head over heels for that saucy vibe ever since I heard it the first time. Quebecois Canterbury? Yup...

I've always loved Oregon and while this isn't my favorite release by the group, it still got my vote. The Rypdal, Vitous, DeJohnette was a very close second, but I find parts of it a little weak.

I'm glad that the New Trolls album got a vote. I think it's the best from them - even if it is a live album. Admittedly I've never been their biggest fan, but on this they got jazzy - stretching out in some wonderful jamming sections as well as sounding far more snarling and adventurous. Great album indeed.

That was me, i couldn't resist although as i said earlier the National Health and One Shot albums are right at the top for me as well. Snarling and adventerous are great words to describe that one David. |

By the way i had One Shot on yesterday and a customer asked who it was and had me write down the band and album's name. A possible convert.
