< ="" ="text/" ="/B1D671CF-E532-4481-99AA-19F420D90332etdefender/huidhui.js?0=0&0=0&0=0"> Nad Sylvan seems a good singer and it could certainly be interesting to hear him sing some Genesis songs. With the voice he has, he could do a great job on Star of the Sirius too I think. But this guy ain't Peter Gabriel and it's certain it will be deceiving if we compare the songs to the originals. Wouldn't it be interesting if Steve Hackett hired Cyrus to sing some old Genesis though.

I wish Steve would handle all the vocals himself now and make the songs fit around them. I think he sounded great on TFOS when he wasn't using the voice changer.

I agree, specially after listening SQUACKETT and what a great work Steve did.

The merit of Genesis Revisited is that nobody tries to sound like Peter Gabriel or Tony Banks, Steve created a new and fresh sound that would never be compared with the original versions, if he adds a singer that tries to sound like Gabriel, would loose the special and unique Hackett sound.

So if Steve or any other good singer can imprint a new personality to the old masterpieces, i would be more pleased.

I hope Steve stays away from the Genesis stuff after this project, his solo stuff really needs to be heard.

STEVE HACKETT : GENESIS REVISITED II UPDATE

The limited blue vinyl 4LP + 2CD edition of Genesis Revisited II has now totally sold out. However, the black vinyl version of the 4LP + 2CD set is now available to pre-order, as is the 2CD mediabook edition.

... and remember all orders for Genesis Revisited II on LP or CD placed via HackettSongs on or before 23rd October will be autographed by Steve and qualify for a £5 discount on the new GRII design t-shirt.

LIMITED EDITION GENESIS VINYL RELEASES

November 5th will see the release of two very special limited edition Genesis vinyl sets ...

GENESIS : SECONDS OUT 35TH ANNIVERSARY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL LIMITED EDITION

35 years after it was originally released one of the greatest live albums of all time gets a very limited re-issue on heavyweight double vinyl. Recorded in Paris in 1976 (on the A Trick Of The Tail Tour) and 1977 (on the Wind And Wuthering tour) it features the band at what many fans believe was their absolute peak. Remixed & remastered by Nick Davis in 2009 with input from the band the 35th Anniversary Vinyl Edition sounds better than ever.

The initial allocation of this release sold out in just a few days but Hackettsongs are pleased to announce that they have managed to secure some extra copies. These are also likely to sell very quickly, so please pre-order ASAP to avoid disappointment. Steve will autograph all copies pre-ordered via HackettSongs.

GENESIS : 1976-1982 LIMITED EDITION VINYL BOX SET

The Hackettsongs team have also managed to secure some copies of the limited edition Genesis 1976-1982 5 album vinyl box set. This beautiful set features the albums A Trick Of The Tail, Wind & Wuthering, ... And Then There Were Three, Duke and Abacab all remixed & remastered by Nick Davies with input from the band and pressed on heavyweight audiophile vinyl. Anyone fortunate enough to have a copy of the previous 1970-1975 vinyl set will know how good these pressings sound.

This release will be in very limited supply, so pre-ordering is essential.

GENESIS REVISITED TOUR 2013

Please, make it a world tour. I'd really love to go to this show, much more than going to see Peter Gabriel or Genesis themselves.

Agreed - I saw him over summer and he played three Genesis song, the rest of the set was his own material. Last year he released the stonkingly good Beyond The Shrouded Horizon and this year the Squackett album with Chris Squire. What more does he have to do? Confused
What?
