I'm sorry to hear that.

It is so infuriating, and unnecessary in this day and age when content gets restricted in certain countries like this. A fair few YouTube vids wont play in the UK because of licensing issues, and streaming content from several US and European music sites isn't playable either. Even Spotify doesn't work everywhere in the World yet, which is a nuisance for some folks who regularly use progarchives. Disapprove

Infuriating. I couldn't listen to Scott's new band suggestion earlier on My Space, as my new I-pad doesn't support the flash player, apparently.

Some time ago my friend HT (Bhkkhiu) gave me a 5'0 bucks certificate present for ITUNES

They answered me that nobody in Peru could redeme this certificates.

I asked to pay him back, they said this was impossible, so I lost it

This is robbery IMO

With Archive's 'you make me feel' appearing on a Garnier Olia advert and selling like crazy on the MP3 download it's good times for prog.

Time for a 4th Dave Gilmour album?

New box set has been released. Very expensive, but, apparently, very good with the live stuff.

4CD + 2DVD + 2LP box set all yours for a squid short of a ton.

Or the 3-CD box set is only 14 squids

Ah, but if she charges the neigbours a quid a go to pelt you with rotten fruit while you're suspended from the celiling by your knackers you'll pay it off in no time. Big smile

http://www.hackettsongs.com/news/newsGeneral46.html

and there it is from Steve himself about each track .
Wonderful how an artist of this magnitude freely talks about his work.

Genesis Revisited I was a mind blower, quite stellar.
I do love GR 2 My only criticism is the vocals of Gary O'Toole on Blood...He just sounds too fluffy.

He is playing in Cardiff next May. I will book tickets for the three of us tomorrow anyway, but does anyone know whether there will be some orchestra in addition to the band?

The tour will be a special production and something of a departure from his recent live shows.

"This will mark the first time any original former member of Genesis has toured the band's repertoire solely from the 1971 - 1977 period and will comprise songs co-written by Steve from that period, including such classics as Supper's Ready, Dancing with the Moonlit Knight and The Musical Box. The line-up will feature the addition of Nad Sylvan as principal vocalist on several songs. The tour will commence in the US in early March and reach the UK in May 2013. For anyone who was a fan of Genesis, this will be a 'must see' event."

Steve Hackett - guitar and vocals
Roger King - keyboards
Gary O'Toole - drums and vocals
Lee Pomeroy - bass guitar and vocals
Rob Townsend - brass and woodwind

With Nad Sylvan as principal vocalist on several songs.

Message from Amanda Lehmann... "Regrettably I have decided not to join Steve Hackett and the band for the Genesis Revisited World tour... due to both illness in the family and the fact that I don't feel right about being away from my son for extended periods of time (and this tour is going to be a looooong one!!). I will be making appearances at some of the shows... watch this space! All being well, I'll be returning to the band in 2014."

No mention on Steve's website about any added orchestra, but I'll try to find out more...

Yes indeed - a follow up to 'Checking Out Of London Town' by Steve's brother John is now underway, which Nick is currently working with him on. The duo also feature (along with Steve himself) on this little-known potential gem: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=90350. Nick has also contributed recently to tracks recorded by Italian (ex-Mogador) bassist Poalo Pigny, and Canadian drummer/vocalist Eddie Zeeman: http://www.magnus-music.com/blogs.htm.

Here is a snatch of Steve, John and Roger King playing a short acoustic set at the 'Genesis Revisited II' launch event last month:

Thumbs Up
