Sorry if any of this was brought up but regarding those stuff like touring updates on profiles of artists, is that some kind of unregulated automatic google updating thing or what? It's not a biggie, but I think when two artists have the same name their shows and tickets area gets mixed up, at least when I looked up a band I suggested (Prisma from Netherlands) that I'm pretty sure isn't touring anymore.
Also some other stuff because I'm easily annoyed these days, someone else mentioned that the search function's default Find Posts area should be set to any date as it time and time again creates misunderstandings especially for new members (opening already on the way suggestions in the suggest new band area etc.) And I don't know about this other one, it just might be my browser, but since these days all links are automatically copied with http bit in front of it already I think that it's useless to have an insert hyperlink button on forums that bumps it with another http in front of it so it doesn't work. I don't think I'm the only one, there are members regularly posting links promoting jazz archives for example with none of them working because this extra http. Or maybe I'm just dumb and you're all typing everything faster in some secret code, like html or something. |

The Search Function is limited to 6 months back because of the impact the searches have on the server. Would the searches be made automatically for "any date", the site's functioning would be impaired.
Regarding tickets, all these features on artist pages (including ebay & Amazon search) are made automatically, there is no option to search manually to find the correct band in the case of identical band names. The hyperlink button is perfect for me as it is - if I paste in it an URL that includes the opening http bit, the resulting hyperlink is still correct for me. In those cases that you mention, the source of the duplication must be something else. Hope that helps. ![]() Edited by harmonium.ro - May 30 2012 at 02:04 |

Thanks, that does make sense. I guess it's something to do with my browser then regarding the links.
