Allright, I'll swing this by Philippe.
Sheavy, if I may: I know I have been somewhat dismissive of your suggestions, but I have to admit that it ticks me off, when you keep finding the same sort of ambient and industrial soundscapes, that we time and again have said no to. As I pointed out earlier in one of your threads, it can be a tad confusing, when we at the PE team decide to include one or two of the early artists of said scene, and then say no to the next 30 acts. We only sought to explain the natural progression of the genre, and where it went in some cases during the late 70s to the mid 80s, and now it is coming up behind us taking bites at our backsides. Again, we are now very very selective in the way we approach these kind of acts, and quite frankly, I think it's fair to say, that unless we find proof of something aching to PE as described in PA's database, then we're probably going to turn it down.

I wouldn't think that the time something is released should be a factor in what is Prog or not. These Ambient/drone/indus, in the way I read what is PE from the PE page, bands seem to be clearly acceptable, but then again, I never have quite understood the procedures here. Well it's not based on the time it was produced - rather than measured on what kind of relevance it has to the history of progressive electronic music.
I know what the front-page of PE says, but could you perhaps venture past that small paragraph dealing with drone and ambient? |

I do when I come across those sort of bands, which are relatively rare now-a-days. Drone and Ambient are what most bands that would fall under PE seem to be doing now-a-days.

If its any consolation to your blood pressure I have just finished cutting my suggestions list (nearly) in half, most of those being PE suggests.
