That was unreal. I thought it would be Russia and Poland, and it ended up with Czech Rep and Greece … k, going out for an ouzo.

The question now is, will anyone turn up for the elections tomorrow in Greece?

Of course they will!  In these times, with the Germans asking them for austerity, there will be no partying tonight!  Wink

I bet they will lose all the forthcoming matches. But it's not easy for them. But i have to say this: during the last Euro my father was in Turkey...Czech rep was winning 3:0 over Turkey and my father was on back trip on the borders between turkey and greece. All the customs officers were watching the match. Turkey scored 4 another goals or how much, they won finally. The officers laughed at my dad and let him pass through. He said that if CR had won, they wouldn't have let him go so  easily :)

I certainly sent Greece and CR home too early. Still I had a strange experience during the match between Ukraine and France. It was still 0-0, and a voice inside me said, "Ukraine-France 0-2". I should have posted it here at once. Now I’m not sure if anybody will believe me.

Today: A draw between Germany and Denmark, Netherlands defeat Portugal (a bit wishful thinking because I hope Denmark will make it).

They celebrated a lot less than I expected yesterday so yes, I think they’re voting today. I’m glad I can’t vote because I can’t decide between PASOK and Syriza.

Yep... That's a sad end. I predicted it though so I wasn't that much disappointed.

You, on the other hand, at least still have your other homeland team to root for. What are your expectations?

I really was wondering if I should see Portugal - Netherlands, but I'm going to watch it anyway.
With one eye closed (the one that's closest to the Dutch goal).
I never expected it would go this way, but it's like with the euro: the decay could have been predicted years ago, but the news only comes out when there's a crisis.
Still, I'm hoping for a stunt: it ain't over 'till it's over.

^Then the entire portuguese team should complain about Ronaldo's ego... He hasn't done sh*t on this tournament. Let's see if today he can though I hope he fails. I would like a German victory and a Dutch victory 2-0.
