Parts of this have been posted before on YouTube (Lost & Killer) but from 10:07 forward, there's footage of the band playing Octopus (which I don't believe has been posted before). It's the kind of avant-garde, psychotic madness that VdGG was (in)famous for at the time. All at once, you can see why some regarded them as geniuses and most others were left going "huh?"

I personally think it's brilliant...

Hey Bucka001, will you be at NEARfest? If so, I'd love to purchase your book. Let me know.

*jaw drops* Shocked
Incredible footage and pretty good quality for early 70's live TV; most likely slightly refined and edited.  Wow, Guy is a monster on those drums playing some pretty challenging rhythms and Hugh's playing and Hammond tone are pristine. Thanks for sharing! Thumbs Up

No, but I will be flying out a week later to see them in NYC. But even if I was going to be at NF, I only have my one copy of The Book! I wish I had some to give out/sell, but all remaining copies are in England (and I'm in Chicago). The only way to buy it is through the VdGG website.
