For the Rain Dances-enthousiasts I would really like to recommend Kraan.
Kraan is a german band, but not Krautrock, they sound more like a Canterbury-band.

Has anyone suggested Subversion? Guess not. All in all a more eclectic band than Camel but they have a few tunes similar in mode to this one:

Novalis, Asia Minor, Ragnarök, Ain Soph, Eloy's "Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes", Steve Hackett's "Guitar Noir", Triana (if you want to hear how a combination of Camel-esque prog and melodramatic - but in a good way - flamenco sounds like), Focus, Kayak, Neuschwanstein, Cai, Tako, and there is also that band Tai Phong with some very nice Camel like parts, but also an extra portion of cheese (hence that their guitarist became Celine Dion's songwriter).

Anyone's Daughter from Germany were sometimes called the German Camel, and there are similarities, especially in their first two albums, Adonis and s/t

Camel is pretty similar to Camel, in fact sometimes they sound like the same band.
