It was a real pleasure reading Jim's (Finnforest) Lowercase Noises review. Have some clappies my friend
Fantastic write-up really. I'd love to be able to do that - ie make that much sense and still be as interesting to read. Definitely on my list. The story behind is as alluring as it is unique. How on earth would it feel like to live "outside" of the world for more than 40 years - somewhere in the Siberian wilderness? It'd probably be healthy methinks....well just a wee year or two.

Thanks David for your kind words!
And yeah, it is quite the story isn't it....they said it was like 150 miles past the nearest human outpost, and treacherous hiking on foot to reach the area where the family lived. Here's the article about it, a very interesting read. And here's the music so you can listen while you read! |

i really like toilet_doctor´s review of Frequency Drift´s "Over"
http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1212497 the vocalist´s "soul-cleaning ability" is exactly whats so special about it for those who can connect with it. it´s indeed a very special album, although it was not easy for me to get into it. |

Thank you Matti for a perfect review of the wonderful sole Kurki album:
http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1213777 I have treasured that LP for years, and I've had it on my Ipod ever since I bought it. Another frustratating band with endless potential who never blessed us with a follow-up, but managed to capture musical perfection for one brief moment. It was great to see Hugues put up 4 reviews in a row, especially those four as I have been interested in opinions for The Wrong Object and Univers Zero's new one in particular.

^ Ditto John. Those were some interesting picks Hugues, thanks man!
Kangaroo just did a wonderful one as well on Bo Hansson's Music Inspired by Watership Down. I have the Swedish version entitled el ahrairah, but it's the same music featured. I see you fancied a more colourful art work, and that one's got it. Beautiful bunny rabbit. Edited by Guldbamsen - July 20 2014 at 13:22 |

I want to thank UMUR for his review of The Ocean's Anthropocentric! The anti-religion concept and comparison to Between The Buried And Me got me interested immediately. I am now listening to the previous album, Heliocentric (part 1 of which Anthropocentric is part 2) and I am really liking it! Nice balance of clean and harsh vocals, mellow and heavy instrumentation, and good lyrics. I think I will be making some purchases soon!

Great reviews from Thomas (Neo and Consorzio Acqua Potabile). I always liked reading your reviews buddy and this time your enthusiasm won me over, I'll have to get those albums now.

Thanks, I´m glad you found the review helpful. I´m actually not a huge fan myself, but that doesn´t mean I can´t hear when something reeks class. My personal The Ocean favorite is probably: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=19047 I need to make serious edits to my review someday, because it´s one of my early reviews and quite frankly it´s not very well written. |

FragileKings did a good review of PRR's brilliant debut album.
Nice explanations and comparisons, perfect length, and i agree with the ratings. |

I remember reading his review of Trout Mask Replica - laughing like a wee school girl a good hour after
He is a lot of things besides funny though, and he always manages to cut straight to the core of the music.

agreed, and he always provides a fresh perspective. He and I have had many PM discussions and love to compare notes, especially when we disagree!
