Great to see Mellotron Storm/John's great review of the Abraxis album on the front page right now. That album has been one of my personal favourite belated discoveries of the last few years with the recent CD reissue, so it's great to see more love for it!

Thanks Michael, I was hoping you would do it first because you suggested them. Anyway I look forward to your review down the road.Thumbs Up

John I liked your Ghost review!  That live Nippon DVD still haunts me (in a good way).

I noticed they had not done anything for a while so I checked it out.  They disbanded in 2014, so I updated their artist page.  The lead guy has a new band called The Silence.

Thanks!
Honestly, your excellent Mirrors review (and unique perspective it seems) was the final catalyst in getting me to review AoF. It also has me interested in checking out Mirrors again, an album I've never actually listened to much outside of a couple of times in the past, which is what good reviews do.Thumbs Up

Thanks guys!

Yeah Dave, that Mirrors review probably had a few people rolling their eyes.  I have a tendency to really like some of the more reviled members of certain discogs, and BOC is one of them.  Love Agents and Mirrors though they are different beasts.

Thanks to the Silly Puppy and the good and informative review of Salamander's "The Ten Commandments", it intrigued my interest.  Clap

Had not heard of them or the album before.  I was amazed to find it on iTunes and got it and I have been really enjoying it, quite the pleasurable listen.

tarkus1980's review of David Bowies "Blackstar", on the front page now. Nice and long, and personal, too (those make the best reviews, IMO), like this shorter one, Fido73's review of Hiromi's Sonicbloom's "Time Control" from last month.

Great reviews both! Clap

I quite enjoyed the PFM review Aussie-Byrd-Brother wrote up!

At first I kind of wrote off everything they did between Chocolate Kings and Stati di Immaginazione but your review has encouraged me to look a little bit deeper into their back catalogue. Thumbs Up

Excellent review of FEAR by Steve G tonight, which encapsulates extremely nicely, I think, why longstanding fans of the band are slavering at the mouth at this fine piece of work

^Thanks again for your kind words, Laz. They are very much appreciated and make my efforts for a good review all the more rewarded.

I read a couple of great reviews from 2 great PA stalwarts Michael (Aussie-Byrd) and Steve (Lazland) for Marillion's F.E.A.R album.
Been trying to get inspired to anti up and grab more Hogarth era Marillion material, however I feel after the Marbles, Strange Engine, brave and Seasons end I can do no more....but what a great couple of reads from both you gents!!!

Michael and Steve. Your passion and way with words is of an extreme beauty and I thank you both for reminding me that I'm not alone for just how important great sounds are in ones life.
Maybe down the road sometime in the future I might buy the last 2 Marillion releases (16th and 17th respectively) but I'm too much of a FISH fan, so it's up in the air.
Moods and people do change.

Thanks again Chaps!!! ....standing O !!
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

^I'll second that notion Nick. Great reviewers and great folks altogetherClap
I have no interest in the new Marillion album, but I read those reviews with immense pleasure. Tis a sign of a great reviewer methinksApprove

Too kind, gentlemen, but thank you, and kudos to Laz on his here too.

That damn review nearly killed me, was glad to get it over and done with! Problem was I worked on it on and off over almost a fortnight, tinkering here and there when I should have just got it finished in the one go. By the time I wrapped it up and posted it I had well and truly lost momentum with it and just wanted it over.
