Awesome to see Porcupine Tree's `Moonloop' improv LP get some attention on the front page on Luqueasaur's review. Probably helps that I'm the proud owner of the original LP, but I've always loved that performance!

I can't not ask the question, Steve. What is your personal history with BOC?

Oh, nothing really interesting or exciting. Just some live sound work at a time when there was a lot of tension between members of the group and drummer Albert Bouchard, who left at the end of tour. Not a fun time but these types of situations were commonplace with successful rock acts, be they big or small.

^ but great review Steve
I'm much more familiar with the later stuff but maybe should give the early 70s material a chance

Thanks Ken. As the early albums sound anemic, I hope you'll give the live On Your Feet Or On Your Knees a spin first.

Just stumbled on Silly Puppy's review of A Silver Mt. Zion's debut album and thought him mentioning the album was dedicated to one of the member's dog Wanda was just another of his frequent canine references. Turns out it's true. Funny stuff. Great review btw. I guess you were destined to review this album Wink

Fresh Maggots Ken? You're speaking my language! Great review. Yeah, a reunion concert and some new material would really be welcome.

It was diverse for me without traveling too far. Come on, Zappa-Italiano Progresso?

As for the Metal dude, well perhaps some girls will divert his attention in the future. Wink

Great review from Michael, a well deserved 5 stars for Universal Totem Orchestra, my #1 album from last year.

And i was happy to see a review for Gevende, good job John, I knew you were the only who could mention this band. Good album though I felt like it's miles away from their previous masterpiece.

I've been trying to catch up on my review reading seeing as it's been a while since the frontpage has been readable to me...and woh and behold if I didn't miss my old pal John's anniversary
Good reading you again though and contrats to Canada's most flexible man on his 4000th review

As an aside, I really enjoyed Michael's recent review of Samuel's debut as well as the new one by Unreal City (man if only that thing had been instrumental!!! I absolutely adore the music - oh my - but those godawful sing-along type vocals drag the album way down. Why would they do that?!!!!??? Going from a hundred miles an hour instrumental prog rock bliss to Italian Garth Brooks vocals in a flash
