I really loved that review Jim, thanks buddy
It's left-field for sure, but once you get past it's rather peculiar ways (if you can accept em that is) a wondrous world emerges. It reminds me of Czukay's early solo work without ever sounding particularly close to it.

Thanks guys for the kind words I appreciate that
Does anyone know if the current CD being presses is a decent sounding remaster? I'd like the own the Body on CD but if the regular CD doesn't sound so hot I might want to look for a Japanese remaster. |

I've been Bobby....and I've been that band. I'm not sure which is the lonelier proposition. |

Great review from the birthday boy Apostolis for Michel Madore It's great and most of all important that people bring those obscure gems to the front page, good job!

I enjoyed little Guldbamsen's tales in the big city. Great album to review man.

Thank you very much Sagi
I'm not sure most prog purists will love this album, but to those of you who are into The Police and other such 80s extravaganza, Fantasy Shift is da bomb! I've really enjoyed reading GruvanDahlman's recent review stint. Always a pleasure to read up on the more obscure releases.

When Echolyn came to Boston touring to promot "As The World", the four of us in my group were the only ones there. And we had promo tickets. |

Oh man that was a good one, especially meeting someone in an obscure bar who's into the same sh*t as us. Priceless !

An efficient surmising of Vanden Plas's: Chronicles Of The Immortals by OPETHFANTIM. I enjoyed this positive review that is very tightly written and not overblown in any manner. I appreciate this style of writing since I am the exact opposite.
Overall. Well said and well written. Thanks OPETH-freak! |

Very very nice review from the Kanguru today - I am literally drooling all over myself here
Wow I need to get that album! And here I was thinking to myself that electronic - like in modern Berlin School was stuck in a rot, yet with this new one from Cosmic Ground, Steve Moore's two latest (oh yes Michael you really want to check out this cat's music!) and the upcoming collab between Richard Pinhas and Yoshida Tatsuya who knows where this'll go? Again thanks for the heads up my friend - I'm off for work now, 10 hours today (Yikes!)....

Hi Dave, thanks for you kind words, and thanks even more for the recommendations! I hope you'll head to that Bandcamp page and give that Cosmic Ground album a listen! I at least have a feeling that you'll enjoy it more than the recent RPI stuff!
By the way, in regards to your `tribute' Il Volo post in the birthday thread, I rushed to my shelf, and turns out the one I have is the second album, `Essere O Non Essere', which is a very nice proggy fusion album in it's own right! Hmmm, perhaps I should add the first to my next shopping list? |

Oh yeah, the debut Il Volo is a classic with faves "Come un Zanzara en Africa" and the majestic "Il Calore Umano" .

Jason's recent review of Gazpacho's demon was great read. I've been meaning to review the album too so i was happy to see another reviewer take a liking to it too.
The ending line sums it up for me. "Demon" is scarily introspective, beautiful wrought, and surprisingly inventive. The band has taken a stand against bombast and showboating, and I applaud them for it. I hope to see more bands take that plunge." Edited by Horizons - May 02 2014 at 10:27 |

Wow, lots of IQ love on the front page right now! I'll second Laz's review, Nick, and raise you a Flucktrot (careful how I spell that one! ) of the same album! http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=1172745 Very jealous, no chance of finding the album down here in Australia, so I'll be waiting until Greg Walker's `Syn-Phonic's latest newsletter saying he's got it in stock. |
