It has to be as good as VdGG's top albums to deserve it Curiously he gave Atom Heart Mother the full 5 stars despite not being sympathetic to "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast". I
really like to read reviews with meticulous ratings because they
justify it thoroughly but it puts me off writing reviews. I give 5 stars
too easily I feel like I'm ruining their reviews

Amazing album. Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. |

A belated shout out to Psychedelic Paul's review of Salamander - The Ten Commandments album!
Without hearing a note of it, I bought a CD of it based on his review (finally got here after 3 weeks or so) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had never heard of this band or album til this month. Symphonic to my ears. Thanks Psychedelic Paul!

Thanks Alfred E. Neuman. I'm glad you enjoyed Salamander's biblical Ten Commandments album as much as I did. You may be interested to know I just posted a new album review (my longest so far) for Man's first album this morning. I hope that album will prove to be a Revelation for you too. I did see Man's Revelation (wink wink nod nod ) earlier and appears to be my next exploration as I have not heard of them either. So many bands and albums I missed back in those 70s, still trying to catch up, but what a dilemma to have....

Congratulations to Doug McAuliffe for writing an excellent 5-star review for Linda Perhacs "Parallelograms" - one of my all-time favourite Prog Folk albums.

Wow! Thanks Paul! Funny enough, last night while I was contemplating writing this review I actually was thinking about shooting you a PM recommending this album to you but alas! I should've assumed you knew it already, a truly spectacular album!

My pleasure! I had no idea Linda Perhacs was on ProgArchives until I read your entertaining and informative review this morning. Her second album, released 44 years later, The Soul of All Natural Things, is well-worth a listen to!

By the way, I had no idea the word "sw**ky" was considered rude here. When I used that word in my latest album review, I noticed two of the letters had been blanked out with asterisks. One other thing too: it wasn't me who inserted the two asterisks in this forum post.

I have to wonder now whether you inserted those two asterisks in that English northern town or whether the prudish PA system automatically inserted them for you.

Great review on Wakeman's Red Planet by SouthSideOfTheSky. It's nice to see an old prog god get some ink!

Agree strongly here, Happy The Mans first 2 albums are some of the most unique and amazing prog to come out of the US. Truly underrated, Kit Watkins is unfathomably creative on the keys.
