Just like to point out a recent review by Kenethlevine for the self titled Fern Knight album! They are a very dear band to me, and I like to see someone else giving them some time too!

I'd like a shout out to Jim and Andrea's two superb RPI reviews!

First of all, Jim's take on Le Orme's beautiful `Florian', an album I've slowly been coming to appreciate and cherish:
http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=874106

Then Andrea's review of one of my modern RPI 5 star classics, an album I feel should be in every prog fan's collection - Gran Turismo Veloce - `Di Carne, Di Anima':

Check out those albums everyone!

I have been trying to review Alan Stivell's "Chemins De Terre" but, when I read the 2 superb existing reviews by Guldbamsen and  Einsetumadur, I know I can't measure up.  These are 2 guys who knew the music at the time, and have expressed what it "feels like" in a way that is difficult to convey if it's not in your DNA.  Hats off to both of them.

Thank you man, that means a lot coming from you. I remember even before joining PA, reading your reviews and finding a lot of gems. It's not like we have the exact same taste in music(yeah well nobody does eh), but you have a way of writing that seems wonderfully objective, even if that sounds completely mad.

Ken, those two guys you mention are both superb reviewers (and Dave I know well enough now to say he is just the best guy!), but I have to say I really liked some of the observations you made about prog/folk reviewing in your current Claire Louise review, especialy in that first paragraph!

Oh, and you totally sold me on the album too!

I just read Max' review, and I thought it was absolutely brilliant!
But talk about two very different reviews

And thank you Jim. You are the bee's knees man.

Thanks for your feedback guys.  Believe me, it means a lot too.  Hey only 2 member reviews for Chemins De Terre but both so much more than reviews.  That's folk for you, all about quality  Clap

I found an excellent review for Edge of Sanity's "Crimson ii" by "AtLossForWords". The review was simple, easy to read, and straight to the point.

I would appreciate if someone could give me some feedback for my reviews. I have a review on "Crimson ii" also, so if you could spare a minute, that would be great.

Peace!

Two excellent reviews that I noticed on the front page today

Neo-Romantic's excellent criticism of ELP's Trilogy

And this beauty from one of PA's finest, Aussie-Byrd Brother
In blood, he's writing the lyrics of a brand new tune.

Thank you Mr Hurricane, I'm very humbled by your kind words! I was a little worried it just rambled on and on too long!

Thumbs Up to John (Mellotron Storm)

I'm glad to see a favorable review of The Box - All The Time, All The Time, All The Time.
Great review man, I enjoyed reading the first part about tszirmay.
What a beautiful album this is!! And how amazingly beautiful is its beginning, I think I played those 2 first minutes repeatedly about a thousand times.

And also another intriguing review by kev rowland of Moraine. I really like his reviews and feel we have a lot in common. He contributes a lot of reviews and it's a shame he is not participating here in the forum.

I haven't done a review in forever. Been kinda out of the writing mood for a while. Shame I used to really wanna fight for being a reviewer. I'll probably hit my stride again soon.

Thanks a lot, I'm happy to read this - but I'm even more happy to know when people can "feel" this kind of music. Anyway, I'd be really glad to read your review about this album as well. There's always something that hasn't been said! Wink
