Some highway driving this time.  Not enough time to listen to all of it, but here's what I had along for the trip (minus a couple of the albums from last poll)

*shels, though I love that album, turned out to have too many quiet parts to really be effective for the highway.  The Primus album is far from my favourite of theirs, but was surprisingly good driving music (I also sang along to roughly the whole thing, grateful that nobody else was in the car).  Dolphy is too engaging and not "regular" enough for driving, IMO.  Godbluff is just a great album, and same with Weightless.  I'm going to vote Amplifier Worship, though, good lord that album is just an absolute classic

Van Der Graff gets my vote - one of my all time favourites. Weightless is such an amazing record of technical interplay and virtuosic musicianship. I prefer it to the AAL debut. Primus is also a great one.

I've only heard one of these (Out To Lunch) and I didn't find it that impressing. No vote

I only know Godbluff, which is probably the best of the bunch. No vote.

First vote for Primus! I'm not familiar with every album here, but just yesterday I listened to Antipop after maybe a year break and it is very good.

Not a lot of appreciation for Primus around here.

Probably Boris or VdGG, not real familiar with the others.  But I'll vote Boris anyway.

I only know two of these albums, Out to Lunch and Godbluff.  I was tempted to vote for the jazz classic, but I have to be in the right mood to enjoy such avant-garde jazz.  I commonly still find such music challenging.   I went with Godbluff.

Out to Lunch is one of my fave jazz releases. Had to vote for it - it is just a yummi yummi yummi in my tummy thang...
