More highway driving; these are actually the ones I've got in there for the drive I'm taking tomorrow. I'll let you know after that which one I vote for.

Those bottom 3 just came in the mail this weekend, haven't even heard the Comus or Can yet.

It will be a while before My Car IV, less travel will be going on in the near future.

I haven't heard that Comus, or Can yet either -  course I'm a fan of both bands.  I dodn't know Memory Tapes at all, and have only heard a little of Cloudkicker.  I went with the Linda Perhacs' Parallelograms over the Faust and Slapp Happy albums (like all three albums muchly, though).

Memory Tapes is electronic music, and not remotely prog.  It's just something I like.

NOt even fair to the other groups in this one...three discs of excellent Can material trumps just about everything.

I love lots of electronic music; proggy or not (I was into electronic before I got deeply into Prog).  Found some Memory Tapes music from that album on youtube, and certainly like it.

In a lot of ways, it reminds me of the French group Air (not sure if you are familiar with them either)

I don't doubt it, I'll get back to you once I actually get the chance to listen to it though

I know Air.  very good stuff.  I have Moon Safari somewere, and like the soundtrack to Virgin Suicides.  I really got into Air after hearing Cherry Blossom Girl and seeing the video around the time the song came out.  Loved that.

Havent heard the Can album yet, but still I'm going to give it to the almighty Faust.

For those that haven't heard this, as I doubt Linda Perhacs would be well-known at PA.

She only finally got added (relatively) recently, and as such doesn't show up in the prog folk charts the way that - I suspect - she would if she had been on the site longer.
