^ They were discussing writing a song that has only one chord. Get it? So after F# the next chord is ... F#.

I know nothing about "music theory" or whatever. I only know what I like.

Most "Ridiculous"? Louie Louie sounds pretty ridiculous after about 30 seconds.

I tried playing air guitar to the arpeggio section. Being the lazy bum that I am, I only lasted about a third of the way tops before my arm started to hurt. Edited by KingCrInuYasha - July 13 2012 at 20:14 |

A small lovely multilayered progression is that by Brian May at the beginning and the end of A Day At The Races where the clever "looping" of the high pitch fading out with the low pitch fading in creates the illusion that the pitch is continuously going up.

I always felt Tulls 'Aqualung' has ridiculous chord changes and I tried to play them on guitar and they are complex
from memory Gm F Eb F Ab Gm D and thats just the verse also the chords of Yes', Close to the Edge and Starship Trooper are weird Yet Yes are not always complex for eg Owner of a Lonely Heart has the repeated riff throughout of A BC DD GG, A BC DD GG, A BC DD GG, A BC DD GD, A BC DD G, A BC DD G Edited by AtomicCrimsonRush - July 14 2012 at 08:10 |
