MGtH (or Mikko Goes to Heaven) are a Finnish folk rock band, and their later albums have that much progressive elements (odd time signatures, suites, combination of different genres etc.) that I consider them to be progressive and not just proggish. The band has made music for quite a time, but since they are only known in the Christian circles here they have remained quite unknown. The musicians' instrumental and songwriting skills are really good, however, and they are my favourite Nordic music act. They sing in Finnish. Their latest album Lopun ja alun aikoja (2007) is a concept album that captures the main events of the Bible (not like it hasn't been done before, but it's their best and I consider it to be a 4,5 star), and for those that have spotify it can be found there: Mikko Goes to Heaven – Lopun Ja Alun Aikoja
Their other albums are very hard to find online (only through finnish record sites, and their own website, I think). Kala (2002), Kuu (2004) and Auringon maat (2005) are quite proggy as well, and Mikko Goes to Heaven (1999) is their first album. Unfortunately their isn't any very good videos in youtube about them, at least of which I'm aware of.

I can write a description and review the albums, if necessary. It would be great if they could get some more recognition, as there really is some great music in these albums Smile

Oh wait, nevermind.

Far outside, I'm afraid. Not nearly enough prog for inclusion here - I hear lots of pop folk and very little progressive parts.
They seem to be on the "right track" though, so if they release a new album that's proggier, please alert us. Thumbs Up

I sure will! Smile I was kinda expecting these kind of comments. Did you listen to that album in the spotify link in my first post? It's at least much proggier, than the songs they've posted online, which are a bit their poppier side. Probably it's to get the random listener interested (I've seen many bands do that).
