Jack Intveld made an album in 1978 called "I'll Sing Of Life" while he was at senior year in high school, it was a privately released LP. This was his only solo work I think, and some info about him can be found on the page from the band in which he is playing now Without Annete (cover band): http://www.withoutannetteband.com/jack.htm

Nice find
From what I hear, I'd say symph. There's a grandeur and pomp about the arrangements that I think are highly reminiscent of bands such as Camel and Cressida. Let's see what they have to say about it though.
