Hey! I'm going to see Neal Morse in his Momentum tour on October. I'm really exited about it, but I don't know how are his shows, are they great? Or not that much. Also how long are them normally? I'm looking forward because this is my first time I'll go to a Neal Morse concert! Big smile

if you subtrack all the time taken to mention "Jebus and his merry men" - it would last about 10 minutes.....Tongue

Indeed Neal's shows are usually quite long.
I have only seen him with his European band in the Lifeline tour (plus a couple of times with Spock's), they are good but I would have preferred seeing him with the US band.
And I have the DVDs of Testimony and Sola Scriptura tours.

His voice can be a bit rough depending on the day, when he tours extensively you can really notice that his voice gets deteriorated.

If you can forgive him for the religious talk they are great shows.

What are the two things that people don't want to hear at a concert? Politics and religion.

Why oh why do artists have to share these thoughts with us?

I don't mind people's opinions, in fact they can be quite interesting if you take them seriously Tongue Even if your own view of things is completely different.

I saw him in Tenn, the first show on the Testimony 2 tour. It was an incredible show. The shows are long, but I remember seeing that on this tour it'll be like a 2 hour deal. Morse is also an incredible showman, he's so much fun to watch from his energy and passion. His constant switching between instruments is cool too!

I just saw him last week and his show was outstanding.  I figure that I will make the 6½ hour drive to Nashville to see the opening Momentum concert.  Obviously, I think his live shows are amazing.  Typically, you can expect his concerts to last 3 hours (or more).  I doubt he'll play that long at the Chicago show though as there are two other bands on the ticket for that night (Three Friends and District 97).

This.

+2.......I look at it as part of his passion for the music he creates, I don't mind the faith views at all. We don't say the same thing when an artist mocks, makes fun of, complains and hides their displeasure of religious views in a song......We generally applaud that as "clever".
