It's pretty much same for me. I absolutely love Ged, and his voice somehow fits Rush. Although I'm not (yet) fan of Dream Theater, I really like how James sings. And Hammill is not only one of my favorite singers, but also one of my favorite musicians of all time, regardless of genre.

Kayak - Life Of Gold
...might be a contender although I don't know whether others dislike it to be honest

Greg Lake - Closer To Believing
always been very fond of that although Lake's solo side on Works generally gets trampled on around here

I wouldn't say that GL and PH are hated.. Maybe I haven't noticed it.. Love them too, hovewer. LaBrie has his bad moments, but is a great vocalist.

Used to think I was the only person alive who liked JTull's first album.  Never knew anyone who appreciated the bluesy days.

This is freaking news.  CttE is my favorite.  I think I've been shifting to Relayer, but CttE got me started.  I know every note in the damn album, haha.

Good, haha.  Gotta say, I don't like The Yes Album much.  That's where it falls off for me.  It starts to sound too happy.  I know that sounds idiotic, because prog has never been defined to an emotion, but I believe they've always thrived in environments where it's more instrumental and less sing-songy.  The thing that keeps TYA in my heart is Starship Trooper.  Never been a more badass feeling than ripping down I-95 to the last 3 minutes of Starship Trooper.

This the exact reason why Yes does absolutely nothing for me.

You mean just on "The Yes Album", right?

Most people on PA I've noticed seem to prefer darker albums. I tend to prefer the brighter happier sounding ones.

I love Moon Child.
I like More Fool Me, but it took me awhile to get there.
I love Weightless and India Rubber Man from Steve Hackett's Highly Strung album. Does anyone else like these?
I love Yellow Eyes from Jade Warrior's album Released. Does anyone else?

Albums, Songs, it doesn't matter!

Willow, More fool Me is a very pleasent song. Perhaps it's not liked because Phil Collins sang it rather  than Gabriel?

Another Example I forgot to add: I love every minute of UmmaGumma. Yes, even The Grand Vizier's Tea Party!

Garden Party

Whoops, clever me. Thanks Snow Dog Smile
Don't forget the Truly Epic "Several Species of Small Furry Animals"

I would have to add Robbie Robertson's "Contact from the Underworld of Redboy" The track "Unbound stays on my playlist week after week.

I like this one. Smile However, I have to ask: what is so epic about it?

I am pretty sure that my mate is the only man to have a recording of me on tablas and himself on some rustic guitar stylings. Sounds like a hip snakecharmer ditty with far too much going on rhythmically...

The thing is, that the more you lurk inside this place the more differentiating opinion, feel and tastes will get. I know people who love Mirthkon, Henry Cow and Samla Mammas Manna that also happen to adore Tears for Fears or maybe ABBA. Everybody's into something a little left field and that is if you are coming from a Dolly Parton type thing or just mad about black metal and zeuhl!

But yeah ok, I will play along....... Most Kraftwerk fans got scooped up by the pop sensibility and metallic suave of their mid to late 70s output. I tend to go for the first krautrock phase of theirs, which means the cone album and the one before that where they were named Tone Float. Those first 4 or maybe 5 albums are just brilliant, and yet I could see how someone with an affinity for a thing like The Mensch Machine would find it difficult with a piece like Ruksuck or what's its name...
