What a horrible list. I really can't be bothered to work out how many I own. I might not be getting this mag after all then.

F*** the list, that is the least important part of the mag.  get it for the articles and interviews.

Is the interview with Ray Shulman lengthy, or just a cursory mention? I couldn't care less about Floyd or Genesis.

Cursory is the word Mr Trousers, although I must admit that I quite enjoyed leafing through the mag the other day with the Radio Gnome Trilogy in the background and my good friend Mr Bong keeping me company. There are a couple of pretty good articles about Gong and Soft Machine, not exactly in depth but more accurate and better written than I expected. For an old git like me the pictures also brought back some happy memories, and I enjoyed disagreeing with the album selection and wondering why there was no article about Gentle Giant, or Gryphon, or any of the European acts of the era. On the whole I'd give the mag 3 stars (and some older proggers would probably award another half star for the colour pic of Stacia in the Hawkwind article).

OK Chris , You convinced me! Because of you , I will buy my first Q mag ever!

If it's no good, I will curse your name for generations to come!!!!

The pic of Stacia might be worth a full star, depending on how many (none?) clothes she wears in it.

I can quite decide if this kind of publication signifies that the genre is enjoying another one of it's resurgences or it's just a slow month at the Q office. Either way the articles are worth a read.

Even though I know it's not a competition, I had 22 albums from that list (If you include a grubby tape copy of the Moving Waves album) - yay!

Stacia was a 'big' girl wasn't she?

She is as tall as I (6 feet), which is very unusual for women, so we both stick out for that reason alone. But there is a lot "more" about her, and not in an unattractive way, though no model agency would have taken on her. But who cares for these flat-breasted models with asses like a piece of soap?

There certainly is a LOT to like in her.

The one in the mag has obviously been taken from his site, by the way.

Interestingly, I have only 4 of the items in the list as official releases (666, Larks', CttE (turkish reprint) and Wish You were Here...) but have both these and 25 others in MP3 format! (I doubt whether I have the Zappa thing, because he released damn lot of albums... I must have 30 of them somewhere )

If MP3's count (and that's the main way to access -especially more avantgarde- prog here in Turkey...) I am in top 5 greatest prog albums owners list , if not, I am second to Bob Greece from the bottom!

besides: I'm in a relationship, seldom eat pizza, some of my firends have beards, and so do I! what is that supposed to mean???

and I absolutely agree with Ivan, and congragulate him warmly because of his huge collection! I hope one day I'll be like you!

keep on proggin

Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret:
Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

The one thing that we (us men) can agree with Jean and Friede is how much there is to like about Stacia.

Actually , a bit too much for my taste....... if you can believe that from the pervert I can be.

But I prefer Stacia to Lemmy

interesting...
13 total on the whole list.
10 of which are among the first 13...
mmmm, maybe I'll have to search more for not-so-famous bands...

Good to see this list of 40 albums stirred up some controversy. It
certainly drove us mad in the office.
I actually own 28 of the 40 albums listed. Don't know what that
makes me…Why not compile your own lists of albums. What
should we have featured? We would love to see your choices. If
you want to complain, make any comment or even praise us for
the mag :-), you can e-mail "the bugger" directly - that's me

IMO best part about the Q issue is the back page with 'genuine' small ads from 70's.

Wonder if the '2 chicks into Pink floyd' are still looking for a guy...

I will not speak for Dick , but as prog bashers that Q is so regularly at the top of the list, your mags (Mojo is not that much better , but a few years back , they did do a VDGG special)  certainly does not deserve much better comments.

Although I did buy your PF special and I will rush out to see how you "sullied" our beloved music. Sure it will be good as the PF special was good, though!

You might want to check on our front page on the right hand side for the site's best albums.

16 out of 40. But, at one time or another I'd owned another 6 or 7 of those titles.
