I'm going to vote for Rick Wakeman because I like his solo work and the albums he did with Bowie. Bruford is great as well, of course, and Jon Anderson's work on Lizard and with Vangelis is outstanding.

This poll is useless, the winner is clearly obvious and choosing anyone else would be a crime.

Why replicate this idea if Bruford is in the list. He is going to win. Ouch

Pretty much a tie for me between Rick's glorious early solo work and Bruford's presence on tow of the greatest seventies prog album (UK and Red). So I vote for Rick as he's lagging behind a bit.

Bruford, easy.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Bruford, Crimson and U.K. of course, HOWEVER, for the record, The Plastic Ono band Album is one of my all time favorite albums. (Not that Alan White had anything to do with that..) and should be noted as that....Back to topic

Since King Crimson is my favorite band, it is Bruford.

Awww hell.  Bruford is the obvious choice but I'm having a hard time with casting a sympathy vote because there's so much good stuff out there which some of the others have done.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Poll without Bruford would be more interesting. Hard to beat King Crimson and UK.

I picked Tony Kaye, but you have not mentioned the two groups he was in that are my reason for voting for him-Flash and Badger
