Damn straight I am.  Big smile

Watercourse Way is one of those obscure prog albums from the '70's that more people should get to know.

They went off the radar screen but then resurfaced on the Windham Hill label.  Did albums that were more in the new age vein but still really good mellow music.  Dreams Of Children was a return to more prog.

You managed to hit me up with one I haven't heard or have.  I'm Embarrassed.

Shadowfax was Gandalf's horse! Since he's not around anymore, Gandalf has nothing better to do than make a bunch of silly polls.

Definitely put that one on the top of your must listen to list.  It will blow you away. I was a big advocate  for their addition here.  That album was exhibit number one.

I only have Shadowdance, long time I did not listen to it but I remember it as a great album (I love a lot of new age music).
Which other of their albums would you recommend the most?

It's got Watercourse Way, which is one of the mellower tracks from the original album redone.

The band name totally made me think they were a typical prog metal band formed in the 90s. LOL

I just discovered this band.  Listened to some tracks from Watercourse Way on YouTube; I'm probably going to have to buy the album now.  I love their sound.

Plus there's the fact that they're apparently Tolkien fans, which is always a nice bonus. Big smile

I like Shadowfax. I own many of their recordings: Shadowdance, The Odd Get Even, The Dreams of Children, and Too Far To Whisper are the ones I remember liking the most. I'll have to reinvestigate them.

I listened to Watercourse Way years ago and I wasn't impressed. I don't know if I still have it, but since you've brought it up it certainly deserves another spin.

If metal is your thing and mellow music is boring to you I wouldn't recommend exploring further.  When they hooked up with the Windham Hill label they went all mellow.  They did pick it up some with Dreams Of Children.

I'm still scratching my head at the label picking up French Frith Kaiser Thompson.  LOL

I have Dreams of Children on cassette... which means I havent heard it in many many years but I do love the album. I also have a vinyl shadowfax album but it was apprently so unimpressive I can't remember the name. My cassette machine is still in fine working order, I think I'll go upstairs and get that Shadowfax tape.. thanks for the reminder OP.
