WELCOME TO THE ZEUHL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!
In my experience with Zeuhl, I have noticed there are two main "schools," or as I'll refer to them in these polls, "leagues," of Zeuhl - the French league springing from Magma (note Magma is *not* in this poll as they would kill everything) and the Japanese league from Koenjihyakkei and Bondage Fruit and the like. Obviously there is far more French league than Japanese league so I had to pick from my favorites of the French league to balance it out. Please don't cry if your favorite Zeuhl band isn't here.
And again, Magma is NOT in this poll because they would win.

For technical purposes, there is the French International Zeuhl League (FIZL) as French School comes not only from France but Italy, Belgium, USA, etc, and the Japanese National Zeuhl League (JNZL) as as far as I can tell all Japanese Zeuhl comes from Japan.

Here is the bracket:

ROUND ONE, QUALIFIERS!

DUN vs. WEIDORJE

Ties will be broken by the AVERAGE RATING OF ALL ALBUMS.

Poll closes August 6, 2012.

Dün is closer to Henry Cow than Magma, I don't consider it zeuhl. I like Dün better than Weidorje but I don't want them to go through this round because it's wrong so I vote Weidorje

Same here, actually. Dün strikes me as an avant-prog band and I hear very little Zeuhl in their music, wouldn't mind moving them..

Nice poll. I'm not a wingnut but voted Weidorje. Agree with others that Dun is more avant-prog.

Like most others here, I voted for Weidorje as well. Perhaps the very first zeuhl album I got into after being totally enamoured by Magma.

BTW Andy - I really like the fact that Magma are left out of the equationThumbs Up

Wiedorje quite easily but then DUN is more Avant and will usually pick Zeuhl over Avant.

They would have destroyed any competition so there was no question. LOL

I'm going to enjoy these polls Andy so thanks. Not to advertise(i'm lying) but my next series of polls will include Zeuhl and be like the Jazz & Related ones i just finished. Hope to start it next week. It will include Rio/Avant, Krautrock, Psychedelic and Electronic as well.
Now back to your regular programming. This poll is close, too close.
