Topic: Hiatus Posted: August 07 2012 at 15:17 |
I saw a post on Facebook today on how someones day was going to suck because of this. Funny on how with all that is going on in the world how a band doing this could matter.

It sucks when a band you love goes on hiatus, but I've not been into Incubus much for many, many years.

I never liked Incubus.
Fun fact: there was a thrash metal band from Nawlins called Incubus back in the '80s. When the alt-pop Incubus became famous, the metal Incubus changed their name to Opprobrium.

Incubus, this band which came at the end of the tail of this comet called "funk metal" or "metal fusion' or... whatever you would call this... To say the truth, I was nearly shocked to discover they were still touring nowadays (but I'm French and not really aware of trends in the USA).

There was an obscure prog band from the 70's called Incubus before both of them and I think changed their named to Excubus when rereleasing their work.
Also, as a note to everyone, give Fungus Amungus a chance. It is a DAMN good prog album with Mr. Bungle influence.
And SCIENCE is a solid rock/funk album.
THEN IT ALL WENT TO CRAP.

Sounds like they may have a court judgement or a financial agreement much like the British Nirvana had.

I wouldn't go this far. I've heard of them but never cared anything about them.

I used to love this band, but their best years are in the past, so it doesn't bother me at all if this is true. I can still enjoy their older albums just fine, and that's okay.

I like Incubus, but don't care about a hiatus.
