Great video I found! Surprised that there's so few views for this one, considering it's two Prog legends on one stage, but anyway, what do you guys think?

Superb performance of a classic song! Steve Hackett's fine band always produce the goods for me, and John Wetton on guest vocals here too is simply the icing on the cake. Heart

This was filmed live in Poland in 2010 according to the YouTube caption, but a similar performance of this song is also featured on Steve's 'Fire And Ice' DVD, which was filmed on the same tour at Shepherds Bush Empire, London, on November 30, 2010.

These two performed together back in 1996 in Tokyo, and the show was recorded and released on DVD as 'The Tokyo Tapes'.  Picture quality was a bit hazy, but the music more than made up for it, and John sang us this great classic of his:

There's more from the show on YouTube if you're interested. Smile

Very nice indeed. Given how many different artists have covered this song, it's great to hear a fresh take on it. I love Hackett and he sounds so good. Having Wetton's vocals only makes it that much better. thanks for posting!

Great song. I almost like it better than Hendrix's one. Perhaps with repeated listenings I would actually like it better.

A very nice version indeed.
Jimi would have been excited by some of the sounds Steve gets from his guitar.
Allomerus. Music with progressive intent.
