If one were to believe in such things, one might suggest that the Yankees have chosen to take after the Chinese ping pong teams and lose a few games to the White Sox in an attempt to try and avoid having to face the Tigers in the playoffs yet again.  Wink

And yes, The Weirding is a great record.  Obviously a very retro sound, but nonetheless a great use of that retro sound.

If they do meet and the Tigers win i will be celebrating big time. A long way to go yet though but it will be interesting to see who plays who in the playofffs.

I also only know about half of these, and will vote for Between's album.  It also is my most recent acquisition of those, and so has a bit of an advantage in that the music still sounds fresh to me.

Late to the party here, but I'd just join in and share my adoration for Between's masterly And the Waters opened. I love that album. I think it is one of those rare albums that actually feel spiritual. Like living breathing rock or something. I don't know what to call it, and I guess that's the beauty of it.

It's quite unfortunate how naive i am about most of the genres represented in these great polls.

Hey me too.
I wouldn't have thought so actually, but maybe it's the fusion vibe sneaking in? Some people seem to find it easier getting into Kraut by way of jazz. Well to those people, you just gotta say: Kraan, Exmagma, Embryo and Etcetera
