Really cool Trey album. Not very similar to Phish at all, much like his last few albums. This time around, there is some experimentation of some tracks, a few awesome guitar solos, and wonderfully composed sections ala Frank Zappa and Genesis, much like old-school Phish. Thereís also some good songwriting, as can be expected of Trey of course.  Iíll need to listen more, but this is a grower for sure, and can only get better each time. Highly recommended.

Just picked this up. The case is a beautiful digi-pak with very well made artwork. I'll let you guys know how it is once I've listened to it.

I'm checking out the single now. Sounds interesting, might have to check him and Phish out.

I'm surprised more people haven't checked out the "single". So many people on this site would highly enjoy the kind of music Trey is doing on this album.

Hot diggity!
I've been hoping Trey might do something like that for years.

Trey Anastasio, guitarist and vocalist for Phish, is releasing his new solo album entitled "Traveler" in October. Based on samples and clips, it's going to be a return to the progressive rock that Phish is known for, particularly in their early works.

The wait for a batch of new material from Trey Anastasio has been a long one, but if the Phish front manís new single Scabbard, which came out today, is any indication, heís used that time wisely. Scabbard finds Anastasio melding his early influences (King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Genesis) with more recent ones (Radiohead, The National, Sigur Ros) into a psychedelic art-rock sound thatís far unlike anything heís ever released before.
