Trey Anastasio, guitarist and vocalist for Phish, is releasing his new solo album entitled "Traveler" in October. Based on samples and clips, it's going to be a return to the progressive rock that Phish is known for, particularly in their early works.

Hot diggity!
I've been hoping Trey might do something like that for years.

I'm surprised more people haven't checked out the "single". So many people on this site would highly enjoy the kind of music Trey is doing on this album.

Just picked this up. The case is a beautiful digi-pak with very well made artwork. I'll let you guys know how it is once I've listened to it.

Really cool Trey album. Not very similar to Phish at all, much like his last few albums. This time around, there is some experimentation of some tracks, a few awesome guitar solos, and wonderfully composed sections ala Frank Zappa and Genesis, much like old-school Phish. There’s also some good songwriting, as can be expected of Trey of course. I’ll need to listen more, but this is a grower for sure, and can only get better each time. Highly recommended. |
