But why is not the first one on the list? (Their first album I mean)...

I accidentally wrote the first album where the poll question was meant to be, and the edit post option won't let me change the number of poll questions. Sorry Unhappy

My two favorites are Somewhere in Time and 7th Son, but 7th Son it is for me, not only was it the first Maiden album I bought, it's also their proggiest (Moonchild,Infinite Dreams and the title track are amazing examples of this), and it's a concept album... what more could one ask ?

Seventh Son is probably my fave. I lean towards their more progressive stuff. I love all of it, but especially their proggy stuff. Their most recent albums have been tending towards the proggy side too

I don't really know.  I've listened to 6 albums by them and ended up giving them all 4 stars.  I really think that their 2000's material is as good as their classic 80's stuff overall.

Tie. Seventh Son for being their best musically and Number of the Beast for being their most "classic" album.  When I hear "Iron Maiden", I immediately think of Number of the Beast.

I tawt I taw a putty tat.......................Wacko - nah, I thought I already voted in this poll ages ago but must've been the 'best Maiden Epic' poll.  Fave I.M. album, despite what I find as minor flaws (some of Blayze's vocals), is definately 'The X Factor'.  'Powerslave' close 2nd.

I've just noticed Embarrassed, good call
a shame I dare say, considering it's a great album, much better than Killers IMO.

I also prefer Di'Anno...

But my fave (from far) is their debut, then killers and Maiden Japan....

From the Dickinson years, I guess Number of the Beast... I kind of lost them after that

^ Book of Skulls?
Maybe Book of Souls
not in the poll, obviously because this is an older one.

IMO the best Maiden album is Powerslave hands down, far superior than Killers, which are voted first here.
