I understand that. Black metal is a genre that I love, and I can see many progressive elements in a lot of bands, but I'm not sure what it takes for most people to see them as prog. In this case, I can hear many sonic similarities between Panopticon and several of the bands that are listed here, as well as hearing elements of the music that I think are rather progressive.

These sorts of Black Metal bands generally have a hard time getting accepted on here - best wait to hear what Andy has to say about them before I attempt to dig out any more... Ermm

One man black metal project from Kentucky. I get a similar feel to proggier/atmospheric black metal bands such as Skagos, Falls of Rauros,  and Wolves in the Throne room, but with a significant amount of influence from bluegrass music, as well as post rock and black metal.

Those are a few songs spanning his discography that I feel sum up the sound best.
