Another really excellent find!! - This band most definitely belongs on here!
The Post-Rock influences are very much in evidence throughout their music, but there is so much more going on as well. Eclectic Prog is absolutely where I'd have them too. Two other links: http://www.myspace.com/opossaum, and http://www.facebook.com/pages/Opossaum/176917895938. As an aside, two members of Opossaum (Robert Auclair and Antoine Létourneau-Berger) decided to start a duo named Talfast, determined to explore deeper electronic music.
Both using a controller keyboard and a laptop, they began playing together to experiment the possibilities of their tools. A few months later, Talfast’s musical esthetic was born. Their music appears to be inventive, complex, motley, full of rich melodies, atmospheres, colored harmonies and trash-funky-distorted rhythms. Their album 'La machination' was released on 15th April 2011. Talfast's music can be listened to here: http://talfast.bandcamp.com/album/la-machination (name your price download), and might be something the Electronic Prog guys would be interested in. I'll listen to the album now, and if I think it is I'll post a new thread for them. Edited by yam yam - September 16 2012 at 05:35 |

This job is difficult.
I have said no personally to Talfast, but this most definitely belongs on the site. I will send to eclectic for eval, and would say this is really good stuff from the couple of tracks listened to today.

Good stuff; definitely sounds like prog to me! Some interesting stuff they have going on there - love seeing all the multi-instrumentalists.
