Already evaluated once in Neo, and rejected by two votes to one based on his largely acoustic EP from November last year called 'Dancing With Ghosts', but he has a new album called 'First in a Field of One' due out on 8th October which has the backing of a very fine full band, and will probably have a bit more substance to it to satisfy any doubters in the Neo team. LOL

I am posting this here now, rather early, because for the rest of today only the track 'Darkness has Spoken' is streaming on Alan's bandcamp page: http://alanreed.bandcamp.com/album/first-in-a-field-of-one, and a very fine track it is too. Approve

If you pre-order the album from there you get the track straight away however.

For full details of this album, and also Alan's upcoming tour dates, see this post I made earlier on today: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=82570&PID=4620138#4620138

Thumbs Up

David, this was a rather controversial evaluation. I was not particularly happy when he was rejected on the basis of the EP, but, of course, went with the majority decision.

Thus, I feel that we clearly need a full sample of the new LP with this one for me to take to neo again.

Full samples of all tracks will be enabled on bandcamp when the album is officially released on 8th Oct - I just put this on here today so folks could listen to track 5, 'Darkness has Spoken', while it is just temporarily made available - it goes off stream again at midnight tonight, and will remain so until album release day.

If the rest of the album is anything like this track, your buddies in Neo team won't have any problem with him this time round!! - It's an absolute cracker!! Thumbs Up

Edit: Here is a video of the second track off the forthcoming album (this is the other track which is also available to listen to on bandcamp just now).

This promises to be a very strong album indeed.  Approve

Thanks David, very much for this, my friend. This is utterly blinding stuff, and I am a certainty to get this album on releaseClap

Alan also did a very nice turn on the new Harvest album.

I will add to PF for a new eval when the Bandcamp link goes live, although you might wish to remind me?Wink

Checked his "King Of The Blind". Sounds no progressive essence via this song but his newer album will be worth re-evaluating methinks. Thumbs Up
