They're all really symphonic (indeed the Snow Goose is almost classical) but I could just accept Moonmadness as having elements of space rock, but NEVER Canterbury; not in a million years!!!!

I guess I'm just deaf, then. For some reason it always sounds like Caravan and Hatfield to me.

Put Mirage up against pretty much anything and I'll vote for it.
I like Space Shanty, I should listen to it more.

Kahn is enormously overrated and dated.

Space Shanty by quite a bit, though I haven't listened to it in a while. I've never liked Mirage and I still don't.

Logan is not alone in thinking Camel is Canterbury, at least in many respects.

I've always considered Camel a default Canterbury band due to the style they play in, especially those early albums with all the gorgeous fuzzy organ and melodic bass, etc I know many consider the Canterbury bands are only the ones from that particular area, not the ones that embrace that musical style and play in a similar way. But I don't want to get into `a thing' here!

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is toughest album vs. album poll I've encountered here on PA. Both of these albums are in my top 5 of all time, I just can't choose one over the other. No vote.

Lacks the quirky melodies and has too much guitar. In my opinion.

I prefer Mirage, a very powerful album, and one of Camel's best, but I enjoy listening to Space Shanty as well.
