this band should almost be listend to for their useage of TROMBONE, in their folds, as it adds wonderfull textures and unique epic deap feal, and ads a post rock feal to the dark gloom of death

this is a really good band with lots of great progressive metal elements, elements from tech extreme metal and experimental elements, bin active since 1990, so they have quite a long time of innovative music making,

they defenitly fitt best in the folds of experimental metal/post metal, elements of death, doom, black, gothic, darkwave, and industrial makes them quite difficult to pinhold into one spesific genere and also the use of trombone give them a nice and interesting twist and epic feel.

this is a band that can take you by some suprises and think where have they been all my life Shocked

Beyond Dawn is a Norwegian avant-garde metal band turned electropop
During the span of their career, Beyond Dawn's sound has gradually evolved from the doom metal present on their early releases to the minimalistic electropop present on the band's latest album,

Sorry, I'm not convinced. Perhaps Andy could run an ear over them, but I think their home is metal archives.

they are not neo prog, thats for sure, but they are labled as avant garde metal, on Wikipedia, is hailed as one of the first AVANT GARDE metal bands, as early as 1994, they have 5 completly different albums, changing style between each of them, they are deffenitly in the feilds of Anathema, and Neurosis, and Tool and Arcturus and they are as progressive as each of those bands,

two of the albums are 100% experimental metal, their EP is 100% art metal, experimental metal and avant metal, with doom metal elements, goth metal, dark wave, their two latest albums is electronic rock, dark wave, ambient, chamber, minimalistic, progressive post rock,

if this band is not getting in the site well i will loose the credibility of what is written in the Experimental and post metal section of what goes for ART metal, EXPERIMENTAL metal, AVANT METAL, and POST metal, as Beyond Dawn is both EXPERIMENTAL, AVANT, ART, AND POST metal, if one also add qulificative elements to inclusion in prog ELECTRONICS, the have AMBIENT, MINIMALISTIC, DRONE, and if one include the POST-ROCK section they fits in ceveral of the qualifications for post rock,

SO
i will that both POST ROCK and ELECTRONIC PROG TEAM team, listens to album Frysh Electric Sulking Machine and In Reverie

PROG METAL TEAM on Pity Love, and Revelry and the EP Longing for Scarlet Days

on the same merrit as Ulver is on PA shold Beyond Dawn be on PA on the same merrits of Talk Talk should Beyond Dawn be on PA
