Kayak have been busy since their return. Next year they will release yet another concept album:

Cleopatra - the crown of Isis

Here you can watch a live version of the title song:

Meanwhile - there´s a CD-single out containing the above song + a remake of an old, never before released tune called Symmetry:

I will get this.

Also their 1975 album Royal Bed Bouncer has been remastered and will be available shortly. Although its made up of shorter tracks I still rate it as their best.

There is a Campaign now to collect 17500 € in order to make the record:

Surprising and disappointing that such a long established band as this should need to raise money to get the latest album made. I've bought the reissues of the first 3 albums so I feel I've done my bit.

RBB got me hooked on Kayak.  Glad to see them getting back to prog.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Oh, hurrah! I didn't know about that. Good news!
Still going strong BTW, Kayak, it amazes me.

Anyway - I look forward to this record since I really liked both Merlin and Nostradamus and I guess Cleopatra will be in the same vein...

No Reviews yet? Has it been released worldwide or just in Netherlands so far?

I had it delivered to me last Friday. Quite expensive so I think it probably an import. You can order it from their website and will be shipped anywhere ( I didn't buy it direct it from them but from a company called CD services) .I've been away all weekend and so far only listened to disc one. I hope to post a review soon.

Have to admit that it lacks any really outstanding songs even if the production and playing is of the highest professional standard. Probably a 3 star album but will need a lot more listens and maybe it will be a 'grower'.
