I can't believe Planet P Project aren't on progarchives but for some strange reason they aren't. I imagine they would fit in the crossover prog category.

	One of the side projects of Tony Carey, the ex-Rainbow keyboard player who has released numerous albums since he left them in 1977 (see the http://www.truebeliever.de/e/index.php link in the o.p. and hit the 'discography' tab). Planet P Project was a vehicle for some of his more experimental stuff, and there have been 5 albums altogether. However, the band are best known for the first (self-titled) album released in 1983 and the follow-up concept album 'Pink World' from 1984. I'm not even going to attempt to pick out what I consider to be the most progressive tracks from these two albums, so instead I'm going to embed all the tracks that I could find from the first album here (the only track actually missing is track 7 - 'Power Tools'), and then the full 'Pink World' album. You can all then decide for yourselves whether or not this guy deserves an evaluation!! 'Planet P Project' (1983) 'Pink World' (1984) The full concept album 'Pink World' from Planet P Project. It is run as a side venture by frontman Tone Carey for his more experimental music, alongside German producer Peter Hauke. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_P_Project Their eponymous 1983 debut was defined by the synthesizer-laden style of the day with a nod to the progressive rock of the prior decade. With heavy exposure of the accompanying video on MTV, the single "Why Me?" clicked at album rock outlets, climbing into the Top Ten while it also managed to crossover over onto the pop charts. Another track, "Static," also received enough airplay to be a moderate AOR hit. The act's next release was even more ambitious, a double album entitled Pink World, which was released in the fall of 1984.
