I'll go with both. I've only known The Cardiacs for a short while and am not familiar with their entire discography. I was disappointed to find their catalog out of print. Fiery Gun Hand was the first thing I heard and got my ear.

I'll have to go with Primus as well, simply because I've been into them for years. I've only heard a couple of songs by the Cardiacs, and they definitely merit further exploration. Trouble is, I haven't jumped on the iPod bandwagon, and their discs command Huge Dollars.....

Suggestion to those getting into Cardiacs for the first time: either start off with one of the single disc albums (for example, A Little Man...) or expect very possible long wait until you realize for sure whether you do or don't like Sing to God. I started with it back in the day (early 2008 I think) and didn't really have any opinion on it for over a year...much of that time, I didn't listen to it, because I didn't think it was all that, plus it's long. But once I did, I expanded my horizons in both directions and now have/enjoy almost everything they've recorded (alas, only as iTunes downloads).

Haven't heard anything from Primus, and I really enjoyed what I've heard from Cardiacs, so Cardiacs it is!

I've got the same problem man. I will torture you with this. ![]() If you've like what you've heard and can't afford to buy out of print albums, you tube is a good way to go to explore the music. On a side note can we steal your psychotic Frank Hill avvy for either my wife or myself on other sites? :) Edited by Slartibartfast - January 09 2013 at 20:31 |

Knock yerself out. I didn't create it, but it is pretty choice. (It's actually Hank Hill with Dr. Rockso makeup, doing propane instead of cocaine.) ![]() |

Actually Mr. Bungle's first tapes came out before Primus' first album, so they would possibly still be around.
