Nursery Cryme is special being my first Prog album ever, but my vote goes to Mr. Hackett....Voyage is otherworldly....

The one with the croquet mallet girl on the cover, but the other one is also excellent.
On a sidenote: yeah, I see the mis-alignment too.

About Nursery Cryme I always thought "The musical box" and "The fountain of Salmacis" are much better than the rest which is.... well...good but not the best prog I've heard. Hackett's debut is a little more consistent but doesn't reach the heights of those two songs. Anyway it's Hackett for me by a tiny bit.

Nursery Cryme: 5 stars
Voyage of the Acolyte: 4.5 stars (probably the best solo effort of a former Genesis member, together with Anthony Phillips' Wise after the Event).

'Voyage' is indeed a good album. But for me 'Nursery' is in a higher league. Let's say for fun that 'Voyage' is a 'Europa Cup' album, and 'Nursery' is 'Champions League' one..

pretty much agree with everyone else. Unfair to compare Hackett's solo work to a classic Genesis record. But Voyage is still fantastic.
