Yes here I am with another blog, proggers, and this time something a little bit different as I endeavour to reveal piece by piece bits of an obsessed progheads collection. My own.

I decided to show it by posting videos as that's the easiest way and I had fun doing it and finally you all get to hear me drone on in my half Australian half pommy accent. Dont' ask.

Please comment on the vids. They are all on youtube but I am posting them here in one blog spot.

I am going to talk about the collection as I go through it too.

Anyway here we go and we start with Rush - my favourites.

Enjoy and have a laugh at my raving on.

Oh and post your own collection vids if you have any... its fun proggers.

OK this is what its all about  VINYL!!!!!!!!!

I love the vinyl prog albums and these are among the best - double YES Topographic and triple Yessongs records. Love it
Yessongs and Tales from Topographic Oceans on vinyl are two great vinyl albums from prog rock legends Yes. Very nice to have in the collection. Check out the three way gatefolds!

First Yessongs

Next Tales from Topographic Oceans

This is the Tales From Topographic Oceans album on vinyl. Love this artwork. and I compare it to the CD version of the same infamous album. Check out the booklet. Not too bad overall.

Yes Tales From Topographic Oceans on vinyl with the great Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe - part of my collection of prog rock with some rare vinyl here.

Enjoy

Now for my prized Ayreon collection. Featuring the wonderful box sets Timeline and 011001001, and Human Migrator.

Ayreon albums featured are the box sets available and some other CDs such as brilliant The Human Equation and also including the masterpiece of Star One Victims of the Modern Age. All highly recommended prog concept albums. A must!

This is the last clip as I am sick of talking about prog LOL

Had to post this as its pretty funny

I created this music on my Music PSX program

I think its trip hop ir trance electro music - it aint prog I know that!

lots of enjoyment making these tunes up - kind of Dark trance house music here

I called the 'fake' artist Cybersonic.

Tell me how bad it is I dont mind
and posting some more of prog collection soon

This is my music project using PSX Music program. I called artist CYBERSONIC and created each piece using music effects and loops on program. The visuals are pretty terrible but thats better than a black screen I guess. Copied from my VHS.

track1

track 2

track3

The Rush Video Blog is very amusing. Some very in depth reviews and some not so, although some of these cds get about as much airtime as needed. ;)

Can I suggest you buy a tripod if you are going to continue with this.

Love box sets. My favourite is 'The Great Deciever' which is 4 CDs of live 73 and 74 version of King Crimson, my favourite era also for KC.

First Darren Lock do some in depth reviews of his collection, put a lot of humor in them, and finally shows his face! He is a very extrovert king of specie. I find him interesting, but sometimes redundant and tend to lost his focus on a objective review when it doesn't like an artist, like Rush.

i agree there! I am not trying to compete with him but hes a bit of aninfluence.... Lock reviewed Rush Sectors and all he could talk about was all the bare bottoms on the album covers Unhappy Head on wall Ouch

I watch him though cos he unboxes prog sets I may never own  - but I am not keen on his leering staring eyes during reviews...Cool
