Topic: Top 10 Traffic Songs Posted: November 19 2012 at 06:58 |
While many don't consider Traffic a progressive rock band, I do. So I ask of you, what are your top 10 Traffic songs?
1) The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys 2) Feelin' Good 3) Shootout at the Fantasy Factory 4) John Barleycorn Must Die 5) Rock and Roll Stew 6) Rainmaker 7) Dear Mr. Fantasy 8) Blind Man 9) Light Up Or Leave Me Alone 10) Medicated Goo

I'm glad to see a thread here about Traffic. Not that I'm a great fan. But in these forums you find usually hundreds of posts about the same bands on and on, and you can't find almost nothing for some others. And traffic was a very big band. Yes, I like others much more, but I do respect them very much! Anyway, I think that these are my best 10 songs. Mr.Fantasy John Barleycorn must die Pearly Queen Evening Blue When the Eagle Flies No face no name no number 40.000 Headmen Memories of a Rock N' Rolla Sad & Deep as You (From 'Welcome to the Canteen') Cryin' to be heard. Glad/FreedomRider. Yes, I know I wrote 11!

I did make a thread on Traffic, but that was, like, 5 years ago or something. Traffic used to be my favorite band after Genesis. These days other favorites have come up as well, but I still think Traffic is a great band!
My faves:
1. Every Mother's Son 2. Freedom Rider 3. Glad 4. Cryin' To Be Heard 5. 40.000 Headmen 6. Evening Blue 7. Sometimes I Feel So Uninspired 8. Hidden Treasure 9. When The Eagle Flies 10. The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys
And then I didn't fill in Love, No Time To Live, Coloured Rain... Great band!!

I only have "The Low Spark...". Rainmaker is the standout track from that album, IMO.

I'd like to change the nature of this thread and ask for the Top 10 prog songs you'd like to hear while in traffic.

^Embryo's Rocksession is the best album ever for traffic jams. I can vouch for that.
