I ended up voting for The Liberal (Left) Party (Venstre). I'm not too pleased to see that The Progress Party probably will be a part of our future government though, but pleased to see the old government being replaced.

it have something to do with it, but also adds the postion the farmers have for incom for their producing food,
but as the wikipedia article said farmers have had a large say in political matters, and were the crucual factors to get enough interest to leave the personal union with Denmark, and the Union from sweden, the support from the farmers were crucual |

So Norway is apparently a good excuse for a party... Is the Silly Party an option? I think I'll cast a vote for the Centre party as they don't spell Center porporly as we do in 'Merica.

You two should feel very lucky. You have actual choices with several choices on the left side of the political spectrum. We have no such choices here in the states. We can either vote center or right-wing. No leftist parties have any political power here, and the choices among the centrist parties are limited, and I'm sure some of the more conservative/libertarian folks would say that their choices are pretty limited as well (although not nearly so limited as us leftists). No viable socialist, libertarian, moderate left-wing parties here. I'd kill for a real labor party to have some political power here.

Yeah, as I said, I see myself as a leftist. I wouldn't even considered voting for any of the four in the opposition if it wasn't for what happened a year, four months and three days ago, which showed how incompetent and naive our current government is.

^Well, I think we're in serious need of change of government, to get the naive and incompetent leaders of the parties in the red-green coalition out. Voting De Grønne won't help that, I suspect. Only a vote for one of the four parties in opposition in Stortinget today will help that. A vote for De Grønne is close to purposeless, IMO. Might as well not vote at all.

The Beer Unity Party! Now that's a party in a literal sense! More beer, less debate! |

I consider myself a leftist, but I don't trust the people leading the ruling parties after what happened at Utøya and the Government quarter. Too many mistakes were done that day, but the people who was responsible for the safety of those who died that day are still in office. The poor job that was done by so many people that day is unforgivable! Someone has to take responsibility for the mistakes that were done, and that someone is the Prime Minister and his cabinet.
