A great album I've recently rediscovered thanks to Meltdowner, Sagi! Love all those surprising little dark turns it sometimes takes! Mate, I suddently cracked up when I paid attention to the lyrics on that first track - "Get a gypsy, woman, in you - LETS GET DOWN"! Ah, subtle! |

Yes very poetic. I think it's a decent album, it has some really fine moments I agree but it didn't knock me out. But very enjoyable. Michael did you happen to listen to Modry Efekt (M. Efekt) again? |

Sagi, you've now reminded me of the M Efekt album, so I copied my CD for the car! I don't know where to begin with it, so much variety, and all of it crackling with energy! I'll leave it in their so I can start giving it some proper repeated listens! I've also put in there two Jannick Top/Magma related CD's that I bought a few months back through a Syn-Phonic order, but haven't given them a listen yet: Utopic Sporadic Orchestra - Nancy 75 (which has two versions of `De Futura' on there, Vander, Top, Didier Lockwood, etc, so I don't know why it’s not listed as Magma? Jannick Top - Soleil D'ork - Inedits 74-76 (not sure about this too...the CD booklet is in French so no idea what the story with this one is either. I just took a chance on some Magma/Zeuhl related discs! |

Oh man what would you do if you didn't have a stereo system in your car? I like that Jannick Top album, I always thought it was very very good. And that Utopic album, I always wanted to get it but just didn't had the chance, tell me what's your thoughts about it when you'll have some... BTW I have a Lockwood, Top, Vander and Wideman album called fusion from 81', I haven't spent much time with it so I'm not sure about it. Do you know that one? http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=37213 Edited by Sagichim - July 17 2014 at 13:46 |

I'm intrigued by the album title: I guess I'll have to listen to it now Mike Oldfield - Exposed (I finally could appreciate Incantations because of the compressed live version and it has the best live version of Tubular Bells I've listened to) Dun - Eros (I listened because of the two polls that had this album this week. I think it's a great introduction to Zeuhl) Rosenkreutz - Back to the Stars ELPowell - s/t (It's a good album although the gated drums are a bit annoying) King Crimson - Larks' Tongues In Aspic Jorge Palma - Com Uma Viagem na Palma na Mão (a portuguese album very italian) John Coltrane - My Favorite Things |

Been listening to a ton of Floyd boots and ambient/electronic music podcasts, so here's my rather slim pickings from the last couple of days, mostly the Yugoslavian stuff I've been reviewing at the moment:
Hobo - s/t Oko - Raskorak Korni Grupa - s/t Izvir - s/t Plus: Bo Hanson - Watership Down (such a charming gentle instrumental album!) Steve Hillage - Rainbow Dome Music (why have I not played this in years...such a shimmering electronic beauty) |

The Beatles - the Beatles (1968) - patchy in places but the good bits are brilliant and even their self indulgent nonsense is kinda fun and a damn site better than anyone else's self indulgent nonsense |

I tried to like this album a lot of times until I gave up. The songs are so hollow compared to other albums that I get bored.
What do you think about this album? I really like the previous one but I still haven't heard this one. Saturday: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Snowy White - White Flames (I found this album on my father's vinyl collection a few months ago: It's a good album (considering that it comes from my father's collection ) and I thinks it's proggier than any Pink Floyd members solo albums. I specially liked the Jazz Rocker "Lucky Star") Albaluna - Alvorada da Lua Sunday: The Gathering - if_then_else Steven Hillage - Rainbow Dome Music (it sent me to outer space ) |

In the last days i've listened a lot to Quintorigo (various albums), some zeuhl (Eskaton, Magma, Setna and Xing Sa), but the biggest orgasm has been Universe Zero's Ceux Du Dehors while flying above the Alps
Now I'm listening to the new Senmuth's. Very hard.
