A Pink Floyd day today:

Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs (yeah, Sam, as I remembered, not too bad, but I see Michael's point about the story behind it being more interesting than the music itself)
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (still can't understand how this can be considered a timeless classic, it's good, but not that good, IMO)
Pink Floyd - The Wall (another one I consider good, but not that good, prefer it to DSOTM, but it does, of course, have the advantage that I've seen and heared it performed live)
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell
Pink Floyd - The Endless River (really starting to like this little 3 star gem Wink)

^ I prefer reading the story and listen to something else then Tongue

DSOTM is a cherished album probably because it was a gateway to prog to many people, including me even before I knew what prog was. The things that struck me the most the first times were the brilliance of the production, the cohesion of the album and the diversity of moods throughout. Alan Parsons did a hell of a job there and that's when I started to respect even more the album format and it really broaden my musical horizons... after that I found Atom Heart Mother Heart

What do you think of The Division Bell?

Yesterday:
Robert Douglas - Nighthawk

Today: (Had a lot of Australian Prog to check, this seemed like the appropriate day... and what a great day I had Wink)
Sebastian Hardie - Four Moments
Rainbow Theatre - The Armada
UPF - Fall in Love With the World
Ben Craven - Great & Terrible Potions

Hey Sam if you liked that Rainbow Theatre album you might wanna check their other album (Fantasy Of Horses I think it's called) I always thought it was much better although it might take some time to grow on you, anyway I think it's worth it, excellent album.
