Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth
You pull on your finger, then another finger, then your
cigarette
The wall-to-wall is calling, it lingers, then you forget
Ohhh, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide

^ Great list man, as always.

Yesterday I've been overdosing on the spanish band Granada, it's been a few years since I've spun their albums and now I promise I won't let it happen again, this is too good to overlook.
Highly recommended symphonic albums, superb stuff really.

Each album about five times Big smile

Granada - Valle Del Pas

^Yesterday was a very good listening day and I plan on more of the same today.
I really liked the non Italian bands I heard. Bubu was great and Osiris was a very pleasant surprise.
Granada sounds promising because the symphonic sound, mellow or heavy , is what attracted me to
progressive music in the first place.

Four great albums there, Sam...and 1 I don't know (hello Motospsycho!):

My choices tonight:

Sezione Frenante – s/t
Moongarden – Voyeur (hmmm….not feeling much love for this one)
Beardfish - +4626 Comfortzone
Ashra – New Age of Earth
Adelbert von Deyen – Sternzeit, Nordborg, Atmosphere
Alpha Wave Movement - Yasumu
Tangerine Dream - Rubycon
Michael Brückner – Naura - you inspired me to listen to it as well, Sam! How do you find it?

^ I already listened to Moongarden today, it has some nice tracks that sounds a bit like of Arena, but others sound quite uninspired and boring to me Confused

The Motorpsycho album is the only one I own and heard from them, it reminds me of Anekdoten. I feel like I have to give it many more spins, it has many secrets to unveil Wink

That's a great electronic playlist you have there Smile

Naura is really good, it has such a unique atmosphere Cool I got a package from Brückner last week, along with 'Two Letters From Crimea' and 'R is for Rocket...' Thumbs Up

Yeah, not liking the Moongarden one much at all, Sam. Some bits here and there are great, but they're fleeting. And like many of Italian artists that sing in English (and to be fair, the singer here probably is better than many others attempting it), I find the pronunciation awkward and at times unlistenable. The melodies themselves are really strong, but it's very hard to actually understand what he's saying part of the time. That's why it gets boring, the songs become a mumbled blur.

That's great you got some discs from Michael B!! They're all great selections too, all sound very different from eachother. He's a very nice guy, and impossibly talented as well. `Naura' is one of my favourites....love the build, and then when those booming grooving beats start kicking in.... Hope you enjoy them!

Yeah, most of their albums are like that. Stick with it, and, hopefully, it will reveal its wonderful secrets. You haven't heard any of their other albums?

Me today:

Motorpsycho & Ståle Storløkken - En konsert for folk flest (this is another amazing album from these guys, up there with The Deat Defying Unicorn, IMO, but as usual with Motorpsycho's releases, it requires several listens to reveal its secrets Wink)
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
Pink Floyd - Animals
Pink Floyd - The Endless River

I guess I find the vocals more tolerable (but still boring) maybe because many Portuguese bands "sing in English" LOL

Well, you selected those albums, they are obviously great Tongue Those beats were unexpected and different, but not bad at all Smile

Don't know anything else from them, but I'll give this one a few more spins before moving to another Smile What would you recommend after?
That's a nice Floyd selection, very different albums, but all spacey Thumbs Up

Today:
Moongarden - Voyeur
Not A Good Sign - From a Distance
