Cool that you enjoyed them. Their last album is the best of those I've heard (that excludes "Surfin' USSR", which isn't available on Spotify). More prog fusion than their earlier works, but still got that crazy gypsy jazz thing going, to some extent. I really need to get all their albums though, and quick too! My walllet's trembling in fear just by the thought of it. LOL

My picks today:

Blue Öyster Cult - s/t
Blue Öyster Cult - Tyranny and Mutation
Blue Öyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Blue Öyster Cult - Agents of Fortune
Blue Öyster Cult - Spectres

Great day, well, up until AoF at least, then it dropped of slightly. Thoroughly enjoyed the first three though, as I always do with BÖC, and especially the debut and "Secret Treaties". Clap

LOL That sounds interesting, I'll keep on listening.

I only know two songs from BÖC (from playing Guitar Hero too LOL), I think I should give them a listen as well, it sounds like something I'll enjoy Smile

Today:
Arena - The Unquiet Sky (This one gets better with every spin! Big smile)
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets (My favourite 60's Floyd album, I especially love the title track it's amazing Cry)
The Flock - Truth
Modry Efekt - Svitanie
Island - Pictures
Brotherhood of the Machine - Trip Hazard

^ That's my favourite on ASoS as well. Great track.

And, yeah, BÖC is well worth checking out. Quality hard rock. Start with "Secret Treaties", probably their best album, at least out of their first five, which is how far I've gotten in my BÖC exploration. Yet another band I'm not nearly as acquainted with as I'd like to be.

^^^^^ I'll listen to those five albums in order Smile

Yesterday:
Som Imaginário - Matança do Porco

Today:
The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium (Great album Audun! I hear the Post Rock sound you warned me about, but I found tolerable because it has more than just loud guitar during the entire album, unlike most Post Rock I listened. It has organ, electric piano that reminded me of Herbie Hancock, Mellotron, cool vocals, percussion that sounds like Santana's music, and some quite spacey moments. Diversity in moods and instruments is what I like in music Smile)
Jefferson Airplane - After Bathing at Baxter's
Heldon - Agneta Nilsson
Heldon - Interface
Heldon - Stand By
Goblin - Roller
Mort Garson - Plantasia

Glad you enjoyed De-Loused, Sam. Smile Yeah, as I said, TMV is a different animal enitrely from JdlC, qualitywise. Also, liked your description of the album. Some interesting points there I haven't thought of before. Will try to remember those 'till next time I hear the album.

Oh, how familiar are you with Jefferson Airplane? They're yet another band I enjoy very much but aren't too familiar with. Have you heared their second album, Surrealistic Pillow? That's my favourite of the ones of theirs I've heard.

^ I think it would be better if the keyboards would be more on foreground and the guitars would leave more space them, but at least they're there Tongue It's interesting that I prefer playing the guitar over keyboards, but I prefer listening to music with more keyboards than guitar Ermm

I started listening to them last week, precisely with Surrealistic Pillow. I really liked both but it's still early to pick a favourite Tongue

FEM - Sulla Bolla di Sapone

Hooray, Nick got `The Unquiet Sky' (and apparently a bunch of other Arena goodies!)

What did you think of that FEM album, Sam? I really like it, I listen to it pretty often, tons of great moments throughout it...it might be a little long (or feels like it in a few spots), but I've come to really love that album!

*****

Sorry for not posting much in here the last week or so, fellas! I'm on holidays at the moment for another few days, so I haven't been travelling in and out of work which is when I listen to most of my music, but I'll be back in action come next week!

^ I'll have to get one of their concerts too, I don't know which Tongue

It's really great, although it's a bit long, like you say. I normally look at the CD player when I feel it could already end: it was during track 11. It's certainly a grower though, I still don't regret putting it on my top 10 list Thumbs Up

Enjoy your holidays Smile

I don't care what instuments are used as long as the music's good. That said, if a flute's involved, I'm sold! LOL

Last few days for me:

Black Sabbath - Never Say Die!
Black Sabbath - Live Evil
Black Sabbath - Seventh Star
Rainbow - Rising
Deep Purple - Made in Japan
Motorpsycho & Stċle Storlĝkken - En konsert for folk flest

Deep Purple - Made in Japan
I find an album boring if any instrument is overly used, but I'm tolerant with some more than others. I think every song gets better with lots of Mellotron thought LOL And flute of course Wink

That album is awesome especially the version of 'Lazy', it's so much better than the studio one Clap

Today:
Inner Prospekt - The Gene Machine
Inner Prospekt - Blue Days
Daal - Dances of the Drastic Navels
Ash - Kablammo
Funkadelic - s/t
Blue Öyster Cult - s/t (I just joined the cult Cool)
