A never give up attitude. Inspiring cover art my friend. Always keep your head up.

Ha, Mr Metaphor! This didn't even occur to me, when, considering my recent trouble, this would have been rather apt! I simply wanted to listen to it!

Cheers, mate. You, Sam, Todd and Thomas have been really supportive, really means the world to me.

Prog allies are the strongest allies. We look out for one of our own. 😏

Over the weekend...

Unreal city-- the cruelty of April
Zombi--spirit animal
Pink Floyd-- obscured by clouds
Pink Floyd-- Is there anybody out there? ( live 1980/1981 Wall album recording)
Pink Floyd-- the wall
Fates warning-- a pleasant shade of gray
Supertramp-- brother where you bound
The alan Parsons project-- tales of mystery and imagination ( both original and the 1987 remix of the album, which is absolutely awesome by the way. ;)
Dream theater-- awake ( haven't spun this in a while. My love for this album simply won't die. What a sound. :)
Arena-- contagion MAX. ( better than original release by a long stretch. )

😍
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Cool

What did you think of the Ozric one, Sam? And how was Behind the Sun this time around?

My picks today:

Panzerpappa - Koralrevens klagesang (Love PP's last two, but especially this one. A beautiful mix of Zappa, King Crimson, R.I.O. and Canterbury. Can't wait for their new one to be released!)
Panzerpappa - Astromalist
tr-Ond and the Suburban Savages - s/t
Lovely Little Girls - Cleaning the Filth from a Delicate Frame

It's seems like a nice weekend Nick Thumbs Up

It's strange, I only know that version now, I wonder what I'd think of the normal one Tongue

It's really good, after listening to it, I understand Tom's point about the bass and drums on the new one: it's not punchy like in Yumyum for example Ermm
It keeps getting better with every spin Clap At the moment, "Hell, part 4-6" is my favourite track Thumbs Up

Awesome, Tele, one of my absolute favourite albums! I already had this on remastered CD, but a few weeks ago I ordered a two CD expanded reissue of it, just haven't listened to it yet.

But they added this awful illustrated cover artwork with sickening colours, it's very unappealing to look at! I was going to get rid of my first CD version, but now I think I'll hang on it as well!

Yeah, I hate when they change covers on reissues. I was just looking at Kraftwerk's reissues today, I think I'll get the originals instead Dead

Last night:
Fire! With Jimmy O'Rourke - Unreleased?
Pink Floyd - Obscured By Clouds

^^^  I just saw the 2 x CD you mentioned and the cover is bad without a doubt. There's quite
a bit of additional material though. It looks like three remasters (or alternate versions?) and four
other songs. Let us know what it sounds like when you get around to playing it.

^  They are all great bands and playing them on the same day turned out to be a good idea.
It was one of my best listening days in quite a while.

I insist you give " empires never last" a listen. It's their best effort I feel by quite a long stretch.
Also Sam, contagion MAX really is the complete version of the album, the extra tracks provide way more structure and balance to the albums overall feel. You also get a far better understanding of the concept itself.
The original is still of course a great listen, but the theme of the album can be quite hazy.
All you need to know is that contagious and radiance EP's are basically worked into the original track listing of the original contagion album...you got the right edition for sure!
Buying the original is not mandatory...it only is if you are a hard-core nut job arena freak....oh god that's me! Blah. Lol.

I listened to Contagion Max last night, while reading the booklet the whole time, to understand the story: I can't imagine how the story would be without some of the tracks Ermm It was an exhausting listen but a very rewarding one Tongue

Yesterday:
Ash - A-Z Vol.1
Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity
Arena - Contagion Max
